Fall semester at UNLV is starting again, each school year is like a new beginning on campus, and at the Barrick. The start of each year gives us the opportunity to re-engage with returning faculty and students as well as create new connections. Not all learning happens in the classroom. Museums, such as the Barrick, can ignite unexpected connections by creating shared experiences. We believe in being a strong community hub, bringing people together and actively inviting participation.
Museums are for everyone and visitors make the museum better when they share their ideas and use the space as a social place. Our job is to create “positive” museum experiences – experiences that are engaging, educational, and social. At the core of these experiences is the belief that art is something you do, not just learn about. I hope this resonates with everything we do at the Museum.
The Barrick has an amazing dedicated staff who are eager to share their passion for the arts and the museum. We look forward to seeing you and sharing the Barrick Museum.
