Over the next several weeks we’ll be posting short blogs that have been written by our student volunteers. Laura P. has written the first post.
Volunteering at the Marjorie Barrick Museum has not only been rewarding, but inspiring. If you have a desire to contribute to the community and university, the Barrick Museum is the perfect place for you! The staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. There is an opportunity to learn something new each day, whether it is a new piece in our exhibition or our existing collection. With the museum offering a variety of activities such as, Sketch Saturdays or Story time for the little ones, The Barrick seeks individuals who are passionate about devoting their time. As an Anthropology major, I look forward to applying the knowledge and skills I will acquire here in my professional career one day.
